Bottom of the Barrel
Season 8, Episode 9 – Bottom of the Barrel
We are happy to welcome Mike Denton, the Conference Minister of the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Church of Christ. This is Mike’s second time on the show – we really liked him the first time. It is always good to have someone from the United Church of Christ on the show, that way everyone will be included in one way or another. He is not the bottom of the barrel, we are thrilled to have him.
Riliage –
Mike is angry about Flint Michigan. I don’t think we need to say any more; it is a horrible, horrible mess and the least are of those who are suffering the most.
Jonathan is angry about people overreacting to snow predictions and to actual snow. In light of Flint MI, that seems like a pretty petty thing to get angry about.
Scripture
1 Corinthians 4:8-13 – persecution happens, suffering happens, and it can be a part of your faith experience.
Watcha’ Into
Jonathan is trying to memorize poetry – The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T. S. Eliot to be specific.
Mike is into playing with toys meant for 3-year-olds. To be clear, he has a 3-year-old son, so it isn’t creepy. He is also into The Sasquatch Field Guide by Dr. Jeff Meldrum.
