The Enchanted Side

What season is this? What episode is this? The numbering, the ordering has gone all out of whack, so apologies to all those who desire things to be in good order. Just step into the river, into the flow of the Twelve Enough experience!

Jonathan is joined by Baptist Chaplin, interim pastor Mark Chaffin. Mark is the Interfaith Chaplin at the Baptist Health, Nursing, and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia, New York.

Mark reached out to Jonathan to talk about an experience that he had in a time of prayer. It was an awareness of the presence of the divine in a different way. So often we try to portray God as a strong, masculine figure, winning at everything and lacking any nuance at all. Mark had an awakening that opened his eyes to the presence of the feminine in the divine. This is not a new thing, but significant. Below are some of the thoughts and resources that Mark wanted to share:

Words of Lady Wisdom in Proverbs 8:35-36 (this the voice of the co-creator with Yahweh) who warns us:

         “For he (especially the he’s) who finds me finds life

                 and obtains favor of the LORD;

         But he who misses me injures himself;

                 and all who hate me love death.”
